Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, blood products, organs, and pharmaceuticals using temperature-controlled vehicles
- Maintain precise delivery schedules with GPS tracking and real-time route optimization
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and biohazard safety protocols during all transport procedures
- Document deliveries and maintain detailed logs of temperature conditions and handling procedures
- Coordinate with hospital staff, laboratories, and clinics for seamless handoffs and documentation
- Perform vehicle maintenance checks and ensure cleanliness of transport equipment
- Respond to emergency transport requests with urgency and professionalism
Qualifications
- Valid Pennsylvania driver's license with clean driving record (3+ years)
- Previous medical courier or healthcare logistics experience preferred
- OSHA bloodborne pathogen certification or willingness to obtain
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex delivery protocols
- Excellent time management skills with ability to manage multiple routes
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate temperature-controlled equipment
- Proficient with GPS navigation and digital delivery tracking systems
- Background check and drug screening clearance required
