Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, lab results, and sensitive healthcare materials across Sacramento facilities
- Maintain strict temperature-controlled protocols for time-sensitive biological samples
- Utilize GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery routes and ensure on-time arrivals
- Document all transport activities with precise electronic logs and chain-of-custody forms
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintain sterile transport equipment
- Communicate proactively with healthcare providers regarding delivery status and exceptions
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and biohazard safety protocols at all times
Qualifications
- Valid California driver's license with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year medical or biohazard transport experience
- OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens certification required
- Proficiency with mobile tracking and electronic documentation systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate in varied weather conditions
- Exceptional time management and route optimization skills
