Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, organs, tissues, and supplies using temperature-controlled vehicles
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation following HIPAA and OSHA protocols
- Coordinate with healthcare facilities for efficient pickup/delivery scheduling
- Perform vehicle inspections and routine maintenance checks
- Respond promptly to urgent delivery requests and reroute as needed
- Utilize GPS technology to optimize routes and ensure on-time deliveries
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams and receiving facilities
Qualifications
- Valid Georgia driver's license with clean driving record (3+ years)
- High school diploma or equivalent; medical transport certification preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods
- Strong knowledge of Atlanta metropolitan area and surrounding regions
- Proficiency with mobile technology and delivery tracking systems
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Basic first aid/CPR certification
