Responsibilities
- Perform safe and efficient local deliveries to designated routes in the Virginia Beach and Hampton Roads areas.
- Inspect vehicle condition prior to and after each shift to ensure safety compliance.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and delivery receipts.
- Provide excellent customer service and handle cash or card transactions when necessary.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies.
- Unload freight safely and efficiently at various customer locations.
- Communicate any delays or issues to dispatch immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B required.
- Must possess a clean driving record (no major violations within the last 3 years).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience in a commercial or delivery capacity.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Availability for flexible shifts and weekends as needed.
