Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial delivery vehicles on assigned local routes.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts or hand trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Deliver products to customers while maintaining a professional demeanor and providing excellent customer service.
- Verify delivery accuracy and obtain necessary signatures or proof of delivery.
- Keep the vehicle clean, organized, and free of debris at all times.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (no more than 3 points).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in local delivery or route driving.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Strong knowledge of Omaha streets and local geography.
- Must pass a criminal background check, drug screen, and DOT physical examination.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions.
