Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial delivery vehicles on assigned routes within Oakland and surrounding areas.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper handling of freight.
- Provide professional, friendly customer service at every delivery point.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, manifests, and delivery receipts.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Report any vehicle maintenance issues or roadside incidents immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in local delivery or route driving.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong knowledge of Oakland and the greater Bay Area geography.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
