Responsibilities
- Perform safe and efficient operation of commercial delivery vehicles on assigned local routes.
- Adhere strictly to daily delivery schedules and time windows to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Safely load and unload cargo, including handling packages of varying sizes and weights.
- Interact professionally with customers at delivery points, resolving any issues with courtesy and efficiency.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting any issues immediately.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the delivery vehicle and ensure cargo is secured properly.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or equivalent Class C license with air brakes endorsement is required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of local delivery experience is preferred.
- Clean driving record and background check clearance.
- Strong knowledge of the New Orleans area and surrounding parishes.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and work in varying weather conditions.
