Responsibilities
- Safely operate a commercial delivery vehicle to transport goods to designated stops in the Greater New Orleans metro area.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Load and unload cargo carefully, ensuring proper handling and security of freight.
- Interact professionally with customers, handling inquiries, and resolving delivery issues with a positive attitude.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, paperwork, and digital delivery confirmations.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and company traffic safety policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or equivalent with a clean driving record (no more than 3 points).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in local route delivery or logistics.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull packages weighing up to 50-75 pounds repeatedly.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer proficiency for using handheld delivery devices.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
