Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles to transport and deliver freight to designated locations in a timely and efficient manner.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting any defects or safety issues immediately.
- Load and unload cargo using hand tools, ensuring items are secured safely to prevent damage.
- Interact professionally with customers at delivery points, handling complaints with patience and professionalism.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging device (ELD) records in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and hazardous material handling procedures.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record (MVR check).
- Must possess a current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable experience in local delivery or logistics is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to navigate unfamiliar routes effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and work in various weather conditions.
