Responsibilities
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and proper maintenance.
- Safely load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring proper weight distribution.
- Follow assigned routes and delivery schedules to ensure on-time arrival at all customer locations.
- Interact professionally with customers, answer questions, and resolve delivery issues efficiently.
- Complete and verify delivery documentation, including bills of lading and proof of delivery forms.
- Maintain a clean and organized cab and cargo area at all times.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial capacity.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on professionalism and communication.
- Basic math skills for change making and inventory tracking.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs.
