Responsibilities
- Operate commercial delivery vehicles (Class A or B) on designated local routes in a safe and timely manner.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and report any mechanical issues.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing and handling of freight to prevent damage.
- Interact professionally with customers at delivery sites, including signing for receipts and resolving delivery issues.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policies at all times.
- Maintain accurate daily logs (DVIR) and digital paperwork using mobile applications.
- Keep the vehicle interior and exterior clean and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable experience in local delivery or route driving.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of Nashville, TN, and surrounding areas.
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and maneuver packages weighing up to 50-75 lbs repeatedly throughout the day.
- Basic computer literacy for logging delivery information and communicating with dispatch.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours, including early mornings and occasional weekends.
