Responsibilities
- Safely Operate Vehicle: Drive delivery vans and box trucks following all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company protocols.
- Delivery Execution: Pick up and deliver packages to residential and commercial locations within a defined route in St. Louis.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers, verify addresses, and handle delivery issues with courtesy and efficiency.
- Load & Unload: Carefully load and unload merchandise, ensuring items are secured properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs, delivery receipts, and inspection reports at the end of each shift.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe working condition.
- Route Management: Navigate efficiently using GPS and map systems to optimize delivery times.
Qualifications
- Driver's License: Valid Class C Driver's License with a clean driving record (MVR check required).
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 70 lbs repeatedly and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Local Knowledge: Must have a solid understanding of St. Louis streets and traffic patterns.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and a professional demeanor.
- Reliability: Punctual and committed to a full-time schedule.
- Experience: Previous experience in logistics, delivery, or retail preferred but not mandatory.
- Technology: Comfortable using handheld devices for navigation and logging.
