Responsibilities
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle to transport packages and goods to residential and commercial customers within the Chicago metro area.
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules and time windows to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Perform accurate cash and card transactions for COD deliveries when applicable.
- Inspect the delivery vehicle daily for mechanical issues and report maintenance needs immediately.
- Handle customer inquiries professionally and resolve any delivery issues or complaints on-site.
- Maintain a clean and organized delivery van, including loading, unloading, and organizing cargo.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License (Class B CDL preferred, but not always required).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of driving experience in a local delivery or logistics role.
- Must pass a comprehensive background check and motor vehicle record (MVR) screening.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Basic proficiency with smartphone GPS navigation apps.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on safety and professionalism.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
