Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles for local package deliveries within Fort Wayne city limits
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation using digital tracking systems
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions and route navigation
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
- Optimize delivery routes to maximize efficiency and meet strict time windows
- Handle fragile or oversized packages with specialized handling techniques
- Collaborate with dispatch team to resolve delivery exceptions and customer inquiries
Qualifications
- Valid Indiana driver's license with clean 3-year driving record
- Minimum 1 year professional delivery or commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and operate in various weather conditions
- Strong knowledge of Fort Wayne streets and surrounding areas
- Proficient with smartphone navigation and delivery tracking apps
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Pass background check and drug screening requirements
