Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport packages to designated locations within Lincoln city limits
- Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain customer signatures when required
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance
- Assist with loading/unloading shipments using proper equipment and techniques
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team and customers regarding delivery status
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety protocols at all times
- Manage time efficiently to meet daily delivery schedules and deadlines
Qualifications
- Valid Class C driver's license with clean driving record (no major violations within 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year of professional driving experience or equivalent training
- Ability to lift packages up to 50 pounds regularly
- Strong knowledge of Lincoln streets and surrounding areas
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Professional communication and customer service abilities
- Basic computer literacy for using delivery tracking systems
- Pass background check and drug screening
