Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles following all traffic laws and company safety protocols
- Load/unload packages with care, ensuring proper handling and documentation
- Optimize delivery routes to meet time-sensitive schedules and fuel efficiency standards
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions and resolve inquiries
- Maintain accurate delivery records and report discrepancies or damages immediately
- Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Collaborate with dispatch team for real-time route adjustments and priority deliveries
Qualifications
- Valid Oregon driver's license with clean MVR (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience or equivalent delivery background
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and operate in varied weather conditions
- Strong knowledge of Portland metropolitan area streets and traffic patterns
- Basic smartphone proficiency for GPS navigation and delivery apps
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Prior customer service experience preferred
