Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles while adhering to traffic laws and company protocols
- Efficiently navigate Boston streets using GPS technology to ensure on-time deliveries
- Maintain accurate delivery records and customer communication throughout transit
- Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Collaborate with dispatch team to optimize delivery routes and resolve issues
- Handle cash transactions and payment processing accurately
Qualifications
- Valid Class D Driver's License with clean driving record (3+ years)
- Proven experience in local delivery or commercial driving
- Strong knowledge of Boston metropolitan area geography
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout shift
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Basic smartphone proficiency for navigation and communication apps
- Reliable transportation to/from depot location
- Background check and drug screening clearance required
