Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently deliver packages and documents to residential and commercial clients throughout Chicago.
- Utilize handheld delivery devices (PDAs) to scan packages, update tracking status, and capture proof of delivery.
- Ensure all packages are handled with extreme care to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and time logs.
- Provide excellent customer service, including face-to-face interaction and package handling instructions.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety protocols at all times.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Proficiency with smartphones and GPS navigation systems.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Basic English language proficiency for clear communication.
