Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 8 tractor-trailers on regional routes
- Complete multi-stop deliveries within Jacksonville metro and Florida corridor
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation (ELR/EOBR)
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and preventive maintenance checks
- Coordinate with dispatch team for real-time route adjustments
- Ensure cargo security and proper handling of temperature-sensitive freight
- Adhere to all FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (3+ years experience)
- Current DOT medical certification
- 2+ years verifiable OTR or regional driving experience
- Ability to lift 50 lbs occasionally and climb trailer steps
- Strong knowledge of Jacksonville metro area and Florida highways
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Smartphone for daily reporting and communication
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including weekends
