Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently deliver packages to residential and commercial addresses within Washington, DC
- Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain customer signatures when required
- Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Optimize delivery routes using GPS technology to ensure timely arrivals
- Provide exceptional customer service and resolve delivery inquiries
- Collaborate with dispatch team to adjust routes based on traffic conditions
- Assist with loading/unloading packages and warehouse organization
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift packages up to 50 pounds consistently
- Strong knowledge of Washington, DC streets and neighborhoods
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Proficient with smartphone navigation apps
- Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings and weekends
- Pass background check and drug screening
