Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles in strict compliance with FMCSA and DOT regulations.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securement and weight distribution.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and daily logbooks.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and delays.
- Keep the cab and trailer clean and organized.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with required endorsements.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Physical) valid for at least 6 months.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no more than two moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Basic mechanical aptitude to perform minor vehicle maintenance.
- Ability to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Strong problem-solving skills and customer service orientation.
