Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport freight across California and adjacent states
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate DOT compliance logs
- Coordinate with dispatch teams to optimize delivery routes and timelines
- Handle specialized cargo including refrigerated, flatbed, and hazmat materials (with proper endorsements)
- Adhere to HOS regulations and maintain impeccable safety records
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Document delivery receipts and resolve minor in-transit issues autonomously
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean MVR and minimum 2 years verifiable OTR experience
- Current medical card and ability to pass DOT physical requirements
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices and basic GPS navigation
- Knowledge of California-specific traffic laws and mountain driving protocols
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and work in variable weather conditions
- Flexibility for overnight trips and weekend/holiday schedules
- Required endorsements: Hazmat (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Pass federal background check and drug screening
