Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods to designated delivery locations in Boston and surrounding areas.
- Unload and organize packages efficiently at customer sites, ensuring accuracy and handling with care.
- Provide exceptional customer service by maintaining a professional demeanor and resolving delivery issues courteously.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections, log maintenance needs, and ensure the vehicle remains clean and presentable.
- Navigate complex routes and traffic patterns to ensure timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Update delivery status and communicate with dispatch regarding delays or route changes immediately.
- Handle cash and digital payments accurately for COD (Cash on Delivery) orders.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Driver's License with a clean driving record (no major violations within the last 3 years).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong physical stamina to lift packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Basic computer skills for logging delivery information and communicating with dispatch.
- Reliable transportation to and from the depot.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Willingness to work in all weather conditions.
