Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for regional freight routes
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain electronic logs
- Adhere to FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
- Coordinate with dispatch for efficient loading/unloading procedures
- Deliver time-sensitive cargo to Houston metro and surrounding areas
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and customer communication
- Participate in ongoing safety training and certification programs
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean MVR (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year OTR or regional driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with Houston metro area navigation systems
- Basic mechanical knowledge for roadside assistance coordination
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility for overnight routes and weekend shifts
