Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (tractor-trailers) to transport goods across designated routes
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations
- Plan and execute efficient delivery routes while adhering to scheduled timelines
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for all shipments
- Collaborate with dispatch team to resolve route disruptions and optimize efficiency
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and secure cargo according to industry standards
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Proficiency in using GPS navigation and electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Familiarity with Baltimore metropolitan area roadways and traffic patterns
- Strong commitment to safety and compliance with transportation regulations
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
