Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for weekend delivery routes within Baltimore metro area
- Maintain meticulous DOT compliance logs and pre/post-trip inspections
- Coordinate with dispatch team for real-time route adjustments and delivery confirmations
- Handle specialized freight requiring temperature control or hazardous materials endorsement
- Train on new fleet technologies including telematics and electronic logging devices
- Represent MetroLogistics with professionalism during client interactions
- Participate in quarterly safety certification workshops
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with Hazmat endorsement (preferred)
- Minimum 3 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 5 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Proficiency with GPS navigation and route planning software
- Weekend availability required (Saturday/Sunday shifts)
- Experience with multi-stop delivery routes
- Forklift certification a plus
