Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods per assigned routes and schedules
- Conduct thorough pre-trip/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate DOT compliance logs
- Load/unload cargo efficiently using proper equipment and safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and team members for seamless operations
- Adhere strictly to federal/state regulations, traffic laws, and company safety standards
- Report vehicle maintenance issues and accidents immediately to supervisors
- Optimize routes for timely deliveries while maintaining exceptional customer service
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Pass DOT physical, drug screening, and background check
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS navigation
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Knowledge of California roadways and delivery zones
