Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van, refrigerated) within designated regional routes
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle logs
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient delivery scheduling and route optimization
- Ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
- Handle freight documentation and communicate with clients regarding delivery status
- Perform minor preventive maintenance checks and report mechanical issues promptly
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb trailer steps safely
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening (pre-employment and random)
- Proficient with ELD devices and basic navigation technology
- Strong time management and communication skills
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including weekends
