Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses on designated routes adhering to traffic laws
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness
- Supervise student boarding/alighting with safety protocols
- Manage student behavior using positive reinforcement techniques
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Report maintenance issues and complete daily logs
- Respond to emergencies following district protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Oregon Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with P/S endorsement
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Minimum 2 years driving experience
- Child safety certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- Clear background check and driving record
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
