Responsibilities
- Pick up and deliver packages to residential and commercial locations in Oakland and surrounding areas with speed and accuracy.
- Ensure all items are securely loaded and protected during transit.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional appearance of your delivery vehicle.
- Interact professionally and courteously with customers to ensure high satisfaction levels.
- Utilize handheld delivery scanners and mobile applications to update delivery statuses in real-time.
- Familiarize yourself with Oakland’s traffic patterns and routes to optimize delivery times.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C California Driver’s License and a clean driving record (MVR).
- Own a reliable vehicle suitable for courier work (sedan, van, or cargo bike).
- Access to a smartphone with data capabilities for GPS navigation and apps.
- Ability to lift packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-first attitude.
- Basic English proficiency for reading delivery instructions and communicating with clients.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings and weekends.
