Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for long-haul freight transport
- Plan efficient routes using GPS technology while adhering to DOT regulations
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and basic vehicle maintenance
- Maintain accurate electronic logs and delivery documentation
- Communicate with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Load/unload freight with appropriate equipment and safety protocols
- Represent the company professionally at all customer interaction points
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years OTR driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of HOS regulations and electronic logging devices
- Strong navigation skills and route planning abilities
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in various weather conditions
- Willingness to stay overnight for multi-day routes (1-3 nights/week)
