Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles to transport freight safely and efficiently across Texas and surrounding regions
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance records
- Plan optimal delivery routes using GPS technology while adhering to DOT regulations
- Verify shipment documentation and ensure secure loading/unloading procedures
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Maintain a clean driving record and uphold strict safety standards
- Assist with warehouse operations when needed to ensure seamless logistics operations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS navigation
- Strong time management skills with ability to meet strict delivery deadlines
- Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues
- Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and overnight shifts as required
