Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A trucks safely and efficiently to deliver cargo to designated routes in Greensboro and surrounding areas.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety compliance and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Load and unload freight securely, ensuring cargo protection during transit.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service to shippers and receivers, resolving delivery issues professionally.
- Keep the cab and cargo area clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screening.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, DOT regulations, and safety procedures.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for minor vehicle troubleshooting.
- Willingness to obtain Hazmat or Tanker endorsements if required for the role.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and operating heavy machinery.
