Responsibilities
- Operate dump trucks and haulers to transport construction materials, soil, and gravel throughout the Detroit metropolitan area.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload materials safely using skid steers, forklifts, or manual labor as required.
- Maintain accurate driver logs and adhere strictly to all traffic laws and safety protocols.
- Communicate clearly with dispatchers and site supervisors regarding routes and schedules.
- Keep the cab and equipment clean and well-maintained.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or Class B required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience driving dump trucks or heavy haulers.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations within the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Physically capable of lifting heavy loads and performing manual labor duties.
- Must have a reliable personal vehicle for daily commuting.
