Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks and heavy equipment on construction sites and public roads
- Transport construction materials (gravel, asphalt, demolition debris) to designated locations
- Perform pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate delivery logs
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety protocols and DOT regulations
- Collaborate with site supervisors to optimize delivery schedules
- Operate specialized dumping equipment in various weather conditions
- Maintain clean and compliant vehicles daily
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Hazmat endorsement preferred
- Minimum 2 years of dump truck operation experience
- Clean driving record with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Familiarity with Detroit metro area routes and traffic patterns
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
