Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations (FMCSA).
- Perform thorough daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, adhering to weight limits and proper handling procedures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery paperwork.
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules and time windows to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding route changes or potential delays.
- Keep the vehicle interior and exterior clean and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) issued by the state of California.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience within the last 5 years.
- Clean driving record with no major violations (e.g., DUI, reckless driving) within the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screening.
- Strong knowledge of cargo securement methods and DOT regulations.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
