Responsibilities
- Operate commercial tractor-trailer equipment safely and efficiently on all road conditions.
- Load and unload freight, ensuring cargo security and proper weight distribution.
- Complete all necessary DOT logs, delivery receipts, and paperwork accurately and on time.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and federal Department of Transportation regulations.
- Manage time effectively to meet strict delivery schedules and deadlines.
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and customers regarding status, delays, and delivery issues.
Qualifications
- Valid United States Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical) valid for at least 6 months.
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience in the last 3 years.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no serious violations or DUIs.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Strong understanding of DOT Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to exceptional customer service.
