Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and heavy equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual handling as required.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and electronic logging device (ELD) records.
- Navigate complex routes in and around Long Beach and the greater Southern California area.
- Ensure cargo is secured properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or Class B (depending on vehicle).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC).
- Clean driving record with no DUIs or serious traffic violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
- Basic knowledge of trucking software and GPS navigation systems.
