Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles on established routes throughout New York metropolitan area
- Load/unload freight with precision while adhering to safety protocols and handling procedures
- Complete daily inspection reports and maintain accurate delivery documentation
- Optimize routes to ensure timely deliveries while complying with traffic regulations
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and warehouse teams
- Uphold company standards for vehicle maintenance and cleanliness
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license with clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience in urban environments
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Proficiency in using electronic logging devices (ELD) and navigation systems
- Strong knowledge of NYC traffic patterns and delivery regulations
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
