Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles in accordance with all state and federal regulations (FMCSA).
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload freight securely, ensuring cargo is protected from damage.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and daily logs.
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules and communicate with dispatch regarding delays or issues.
- Keep the cab and trailer clean and organized at all times.
- Report any vehicle maintenance needs immediately to fleet management.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B required.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the past 3 years.
- Must pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to lift and carry cargo weighing up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Strong knowledge of road safety and traffic laws in the United States.
- Must be willing to submit to a background check and drug screen.
