Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks to transport loose materials such as sand, gravel, dirt, and asphalt.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload materials accurately, ensuring proper weight distribution and safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean driving record and adhere to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and site supervisors regarding delivery times and route changes.
- Perform minor vehicle maintenance, including tire checks and fluid levels.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements (M, N, or S).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience driving dump trucks or heavy construction equipment.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and DOT compliance standards.
- Physically fit and capable of working in various weather conditions.
