Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) in a professional and courteous manner.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Load and unload freight securely, ensuring cargo is protected from damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation in compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Keep the cabin and cargo area clean and organized.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations within the last 3 years.
- Must pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Ability to lift and carry freight packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and communication.
