Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks in adherence to FMCSA regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using proper tie-down techniques and equipment.
- Maintain accurate logs (DVIR) and paperwork for compliance and inspection.
- Navigate delivery routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and time windows.
- Represent Empire State Logistics professionally to customers and the public.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and readiness.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable OTR or regional driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam and drug screen.
- Strong understanding of logbooks, pre-trip inspections, and cargo securement.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
