Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Safely operate commercial trucks to deliver freight to designated customers in Los Angeles and Florida.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks) while adhering to weight and balance regulations.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and all required delivery documentation.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and Department of Transportation regulations at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding delivery status and route changes.
- Keep the truck cabin and cargo area clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements (Tanker, Hazmat, Doubles/Triples preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience in the last 3 years.
- Current DOT medical card and a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and pre-employment drug screen.
- Strong understanding of roadways and logistics hubs in California and Florida.
- Basic mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues on the road.
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
