Responsibilities
- Safely transport K-12 students on designated routes following strict safety protocols
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness
- Communicate professionally with parents, school staff, and district administrators
- Manage student behavior and ensure a positive on-bus environment
- Adapt routes and schedules as needed for field trips and extracurricular events
- Complete incident reports and maintain accurate documentation
Qualifications
- Valid Nebraska Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B with Passenger (P) endorsement
- Minimum 3 years professional driving experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Excellent driving record (no DUI/DWI in past 5 years)
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Background clearance through Nebraska State Patrol
