Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers on dedicated regional routes between Newark, NJ and distribution centers
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic records (ELD compliance)
- Inspect and maintain assigned equipment to DOT safety standards
- Coordinate with logistics team for efficient loading/unloading procedures
- Build strong client relationships through professional on-site interactions
- Adhere to all FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
- Utilize GPS navigation systems for optimal routing and delivery timing
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years OTR experience with dedicated route background
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and operate in all weather conditions
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety procedures
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Flexibility for overnight trips and weekend deliveries as needed
