Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to and from school and school-related activities on designated routes.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the bus is in safe operating condition.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe environment on the bus at all times.
- Follow all traffic laws and school district safety regulations strictly.
- Assist students in boarding and exiting the bus, ensuring they are safe.
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch regarding schedule changes or delays.
- Adhere to all Company policies and procedures regarding driver conduct and safety.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements is required.
- A clean driving record (no major violations in the last 3-5 years).
- Pass a background check, drug screen, and physical examination.
- Strong communication skills and the patience to work with children of various ages.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
