Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, blood products, organs, and pharmaceuticals in temperature-controlled containers
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA compliance protocols and chain-of-custody procedures
- Optimize delivery routes using GPS navigation to ensure timely pickups and drop-offs
- Document all transport activities with digital logs and condition reports
- Coordinate with hospitals, labs, and clinics for efficient scheduling and communication
- Perform vehicle pre/post-trip inspections and maintain meticulous cleanliness
- Handle emergency rush deliveries with urgency and professionalism
Qualifications
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 5 years)
- Minimum 2 years of medical courier or sensitive logistics experience
- OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens certification or willingness to obtain
- Proficiency with GPS navigation and digital tracking systems
- Exceptional time management and route optimization skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate temperature-controlled equipment
- Strong attention to detail and HIPAA compliance knowledge
