Responsibilities
- Safely operate multi-axle freight trucks across regional routes (Tampa, Orlando, Miami)
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and maintain electronic logs (ELD compliance)
- Coordinate with warehouse teams for efficient loading/unloading operations
- Manage time-sensitive deliveries with GPS navigation and route optimization
- Document freight damage and maintain accurate delivery documentation
- Adhere to FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
- Communicate with dispatch regarding delays, weather, or route changes
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Clean MVR (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Experience with refrigerated or flatbed freight preferred
- Proficient in electronic logging devices and route planning apps
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
- Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends/holidays
