Responsibilities
- Operate Class 8 tractor-trailers for long-haul freight delivery across designated routes
- Ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate electronic logs
- Coordinate with dispatch teams for efficient route optimization and on-time deliveries
- Handle specialized freight requiring temperature control or hazardous materials endorsements
- Maintain clean driving record and represent Sierra Freight with professionalism
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years OTR experience with dry van or refrigerated trailer
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS navigation
- HAZMAT or tanker endorsements highly preferred
- Strong customer service skills and route familiarity in Western US
